Here's something new from the highly respected affordable flashlight maker Romisen!
Romisen RC-A5 Q5 AA/RCR 3 mode.

As seen by the name, it has a Cree XR-E Q5 emitter.
It also supports 1 x AA/14500 using an extender or 1 x RCR without.
Although it doesn't say 14500, it's a given that it can be used also. =)
Lastly, it has a very useful 3 modes. High - Low - Strobe.
It's hard to tell if it has HAIII or not. The natural coloured one tells me it that it might be.
But looking back at nearly every previous Romisen's, it could still be not hard anodized.
Now this to me looks like a winner already.
So I bought one as soon as I saw it. =)
I will post info / review etc about it soon as received!

You ar right, really nice light, especially Ha-III looking one. I ordered both this and another similar to this one, and will see how they perform compared to each other.

Got mine today. Very solid feel, and it certainly got the looks. However it aint, atleast by much, brighter than rc-n3 with p4. And I bet it's got the same driver therefore the output on single 1.2v nimh is lousy. The extender is also 2mm too long or the tailcap spring too short causing connection problems with aa. I understand a protected 14500 is slightly longer, so I'd guess it would fine with those. The reflector is almost smooth and the hot spot is very tight. Also "cree-rings" are a lot less visible than rc-n3. Useful flood I would say.
Overall I'm pretty satisfied, just wasn't my new single aa nimh light. I'll take it to fishing trip as soon as the ice clears out, so we'll see how it stands water exposure.

@Pyra - I haven't received mine yet. Hopefully I'll receive it sometime next week. Have you tried it out with a 14500 to see if it's brighter? Maybe this is a good body to mod and change the driver. Well, I'll see when I receive mine. Thanks for the heads up. =)
@Vectrex - The secret option only allows the author and the Management group member (currently only myself) to see it. I think i'll get rid of that option though as it is a bit confusing. You can always pm me or email me if you have some specific questions you don't want others to see.

I received this light today. Haven't had much time to play with it yet but I did try RCR and AA against my lightbox.
It is actually quite bright with RCR! But very dim with 1AA. I will try to do the run time later in the week.
New Lightbox2: 240 lux on HIGH , 130 lux on LOW (1 x RCR123a)
New Lightbox2: 60 lux on HIGH , 34 lux on LOW (1 x AA NiMh)
I can say that the light has a great feeling to it. Feels nice and solid / thick. Very nice grip. Not slippery. Usual Romisen quality. Nice.
But one thing which really annoyed me was the forward clicky! I can't change modes via half press while it's ON.
I much prefer reverse clicky switch on multi-mode driver flashlights due to this very reason. Ah well.
Beam is nice and clean. Slight yellow halo around the hotspot. (fairly deep OP reflector)
Hotspot is fairly tight. Spill is nice and wide and round. (front bezel doesn't affect the outer shape of the beam)
It has tactical switch layout. Switch sticks out so it doesn't tail stant.
Has a nice side clip. Seems fairly strong. Screwed on by 2 small philip head screws. (detachable I would assume)
5 minute impression wise, it's a keeper. Especially when used with RCR. (btw, i got the natural / army green like color model)
I'll write more in an organized way and post the review up soon. =)
How so? What is the extender like? Does it come with the flashlight?
This appears to have a much larger diameter than, say, an Akoray K-106, correct?
