It says up to 18V so quite a few extension tubes could get used for silly runtime - 4 18650s in line is probably a bit unwieldy but it should run more or less forever if it doesn't cook itself.

Nice clean beam, tight hotspot, fuzzy corona round hotspot. Beamshots once it gets dark.
Looking good so far.

Beamshots
DX dropin on left in all these shots. It is running on two RCR123, the beam on the right is the R5 module that came with the Uniquefire L2. The DX dropin is noticeably brighter on high and has a lower medium and low. From experience with the dog in the local park last night (Actually a swamp for most of the year) neither of these are any good at cutting through fog - low worked as well as high.

The hexagonal beam comes from the Seraph clone body (Since I've turned the 5 mode R4 dropin in it to a single mode)

AFAIK, there are no hosts with this dropin in it. That said, lots of the hosts are available cheaply. My favourite is the Ultrafire WF-504B which is probably Surefire compatible. The R2 5 mode that comes with the silver WF-504B is well worth having on its own, it throws really well.
It is warmer than most unless you are comparing ti with incans. It seems greenish in these pictures but my eyes don't see that.

It won't cut through fog the way incans will, but no LED I'm aware of will. When I took the dog out last night, none of the lights (All LED) I'd taken with me could cut through the fog and drizzle at above 20m, The brighter ones could do a little better, but not enough to be worthwhile.
I Do like the look of these , look better than the KD offerings ..
