What I did was get another dropin - which was on order anyway. http://www.jayki.com/?mid=flashlight_forum_board&category=1061&document_srl=7985  Works well and is somewhat brighter.

I wonder if DX will send me it as a replacment since their description was wrong. Any pro tips how to do that?

I'm quite patinet. 

I've been waiting for ANY response at all to an order cancellation placed on the 3rd of Feb. Maybe once they come back to work.

I liked quality and looks of that light so much.... Now it's dead, I'm still quite sad. :(

An alternative could be the SKYRAY S-R5 it has supposedly a completely different drop-in than the UniqueFire R5 5-Mode, Skyray can handle 2 * 123, Uniquefire can't , 1200 mA vs. 1000 mA, mode memory vs. no memory, smooth vs. OP.

That SKYRAY S-R5 looks very pormising... Maybe I will get is a replacemnet.
