Weight = 64.8g / 2.28oz (without battery)
Initial Impressions
- Wow. Looks very unique with lots of fins, 4 pointed tail and copper gold colored front bezel.
- Tough, mean looking and feels very well made. Not a tiny AA light but still quite small overall.
Build Quality
- Very well machined and nice smooth anodizing. It's not HAIII hard anodizing however.
- Cree Q5 XR-E emitter sitting behind a plastic asperical lense. (round outside, flat on inner side)
- The switch is a forward clicky and has good click feel to it. It's easy to press.
- Tail end has 4 legs that stick out above the switch. This allows the flashlight to tail stant perfectly flat.
- 1 of the legs has a round lanyard hole.
- It's the usual Romisen level of quality. Definitely on the high-side for such budget priced lights.
Lght Output
- As it's a zoom-capable light, the amount of output is not the easiest to measure.
- Output from the emitter remains the same but due to variable beamshape, it "seems" different.
- When set to 8x zoom, the throw capability is very good. As most of the output is concentrated to the center.
- I guess you can say this probably has one of the best throw capability of any 1AA flashlight.
- At the other end of zoom, 1x zoom makes the output into a very even perfectly round flat output.
- It's bright and certainly on the bright side for AA light. I really like the full flood. Very useful.
In Use
- Nearly 3 full rotations are required from 1x zoom to 8x zoom. It's a lot of turns.
- The rotation is smooth but does require some force. It's not buttery smooth and easy.
- The head moves forward and backward as you rotate. Shortest at flood and longest at throw.
- As it's just a single mode, there really isn't anything to get confused about or much to explain.
- It feels like the Romisen RC-G2 but with the focusable beam.
Conclusion ★★★★★
- I really like this light. I actually like it more than the RC-G2. But it is also more expensive.
- There's really not much to fault for what it is. It's another excellent light from Romisen.
- I give it 5 stars merely for being just over $15. If it was like $12, I would have given 6 stars. =P
[Photos]
- Comparison shots against 18650 battery , AKOray K-106 AA flashlight and TANK007 E07 flashlight.

- Comparision shot against the tiny TANK007 E07 which is also a AA flashlight.

[Runtime Chart]
- I've tested it with 2 different GP Recyko LSD AA NiMh's just to make sure results are trust worthy.
